The mission
Create a visual environment: a slick imaginary place for a network of undercover agents to gather information, analyze, and report back to savvy readers. Make it feel tactile and grounded. Give it a bit of cool, and a bit of a cheeky wink.
Using color, texture, and digital overlays, I gave life to three key spy locales: in the field, the lab, and spy hq. For each of these places I created a guidebook of rules to help designers maintain the intended look through countless iterations. Implementation of templates with variable details but consistent composition and color made for quick production on a daily basis.
As a result, the site now looks cohesive, cool, and unique. I had so much fun working on this project (I may have taken it as an opportunity to rewatch Mission Impossible, you know, for inspiration). Tyler, the spy designer I worked most closely with, was a true delight, and took my work and improved upon it. I can’t wait to watch this brand as it continues to grow and evolve in the coming years.
